Microgaming - Prima

Overview:

There are 2 steps to configuring Holdem Manager to work with Microgaming / Prima:

Once the above steps have been successfully completed, your HUD will be operational.

Note:

  • Due to the way they identify their windows we can only display a single HUD when playing multiple MTT/SNG tables.
  • They no longer allow us to display a HUD on their Anonymous tables.
  • On Blaze tables they only write hand histories for hands that go to showdown so we can not support a HUD on these games.
  • You can not use the Active Session tab when playing at Prima/Microgaming skins.  Please use the Reports > More Reports > Sessions report instead.
  • They are no longer writing hands from the point you don't contribute to the pot so we can no longer support these cash game hands - http://www.mpn.poker/blog/closing-a-few-loopholes/
  • Microgaming has made a decision to not provide cash game customers with all hand histories for games they are seated in.  Even though a Microgaming cash game player has posted blinds for the round, they will now only provide customers with a hand history if the customer directly contributed to a pot.  We are no longer importing Microgaming cash game hand histories because many stats are significantly skewed as a result of the Microgaming decision to not provide hand histories on all cash game hands.  We will continue to support Microgaming tournaments as all players are provided with complete hand histories.
  • Their new 'Prima' software is not supported as it no longer writes hand history files of any sort.

Setup Microgaming / Prima Hand History Options

Note:  Always make sure you have the latest version of Holdem Manager before proceeding!
Holdem Manager 2 Update

  1. Launch your Microgaming Client.
  2. Make sure you are saving "English" Hand Histories.
  3. Navigate to your Poker Client install path  C:\Microgaming\Poker\YourSiteNameMPP
  4. Note the GameHistory.Dat file in that folder. This is where the hand history information is stored.
  5. Make note of the GameHistory.Dat file path and write it down.  We may need this file location later.

Now we're ready to tell Holdem Manager where the GameHistory.Dat is.  (Click Here)
