What Files Should I Backup to Protect my Holdem Manager?

You will need to save your c:\hm2archive and/or c:\hmarchive folder
You also should move your popup files (.pop) from:
HM1: C:\programfiles\rvgsoftware\holdemmanager\configs folder (if you have changed reports, save that reports folder as well)
HM2: Configs folder in roaming *
Then also export your HUD:
HM1: Open HUD Options - Player Preferences - export
HM2: Open HUD Options - Export
And you should move your note caddy definitions folder *
* Location:
 7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\
 XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager
See this tutorial for showing system and hidden files:

First, use the Database Manager > Backup function to backup and save your databases, notes and other Holdem Manager settings. Here is a step by step guide on how to backup/restore your database and settings and here is a guide for backing up only the settings.  You can also Backup or Restore via PostgreSQL

You will also need to save your C:\HM2Archive folder. This is where all hands previously imported into Holdem Manager 2 are stored.

You will also need to save any Custom Popups
from the Config folder and also save the NoteCaddy Definitons folder located here:
  • Windows 7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\
  • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager

You will need to show hidden files and folders to see this location.

Finally, Export and save any custom HUD configurations via HUD Settings > HUD Designer
